Ingredients

1 box chocolate cake mix

3 large eggs

1 cup water

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1 can (16 oz) chocolate frosting

1 cup mini marshmallows

1/2 cup white chocolate chips

Black edible glitter or sprinkles

12 candy eyes

Instructions

Prepare Cake Batter: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil. Mix according to package instructions until well combined.

Bake Cupcakes: Line a cupcake pan with cupcake liners. Fill each liner about 2/3 full with the cake batter. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool completely.

Frost the Cupcakes: Once the cupcakes are cool, use a knife or spatula to spread a generous layer of chocolate frosting on each cupcake.

Create Spider Web Design: In a microwave, melt the white chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth. Transfer the melted white chocolate to a piping bag or a ziplock bag (with a small corner snipped off). Drizzle the white chocolate in a circular pattern on top of the frosted cupcakes, then use a toothpick to gently drag lines outward from the center, creating a spider web effect.

Decorate: Place two candy eyes on top of each cupcake, and sprinkle with black edible glitter or sprinkles to add spooky flair. You can also place mini marshmallows around the top to look like ghostly figures.

Serve: Arrange the cupcakes on a spooky platter and enjoy your Halloween treats!
