Ingredients

2 pounds chicken drumsticks

1/2 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)

1/4 cup honey

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

Salt to taste

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together the BBQ sauce, honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, cayenne pepper (if using), and a pinch of salt until well combined.

Marinate the Drumsticks: Place the chicken drumsticks in a large resealable plastic bag or a bowl. Pour the marinade over the drumsticks, ensuring they are evenly coated. Seal the bag or cover the bowl and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight for maximum flavor.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes.

Arrange the Drumsticks: Remove the drumsticks from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Arrange them in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to do this in batches.

Air Fry the Drumsticks: Cook the drumsticks in the preheated air fryer for 25-30 minutes, turning them halfway through the cooking time. They should be golden brown and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

Add Extra BBQ Sauce: During the last 5 minutes of cooking, brush additional BBQ sauce on the drumsticks for an extra sticky texture.

Serve: Once cooked, remove the drumsticks from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Enjoy: Serve these delicious sweet and sticky BBQ drumsticks hot with your favorite sides such as coleslaw, corn on the cob, or potato wedges.
