Apple Cinnamon Roll Bake

2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated cinnamon rolls

2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced (preferably Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)

½ cup brown sugar, packed

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

¼ cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

½ cup raisins (optional)

1 tablespoon butter, melted

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons milk

Pinch of salt

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.

    Prepare Cinnamon Rolls: Open the cans of cinnamon rolls and set aside the icing packets. Cut each roll into quarters and place them in a large mixing bowl.

      Prepare Apples: In a separate bowl, combine the diced apples, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, chopped nuts (if using), and raisins (if using). Mix well to coat the apples evenly.

        Combine Ingredients: Add the apple mixture to the bowl with cinnamon roll pieces. Drizzle with the melted butter and toss gently to combine, ensuring the cinnamon roll pieces are well-coated with the apple mixture.

          Transfer to Baking Dish: Pour the apple-cinnamon roll mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.

            Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and the apples are tender.

              Prepare Glaze: While the bake is in the oven, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl until smooth. Adjust the consistency by adding more milk or powdered sugar if needed.

                Cool and Drizzle: Once the bake is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool for about 5 minutes. Drizzle the prepared glaze over the warm apple cinnamon roll bake.
