Ingredients

For the Biscuit Crust:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed

3/4 cup buttermilk

For the Sausage Gravy:

1 pound breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

2 cups milk (whole or 2%)

Salt and pepper to taste

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

For Topping:

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

2 large eggs

Fresh parsley or chives, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Make the Biscuit Crust:

    - Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).

      - In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups flour, baking powder, and salt.

        - Add the cold, cubed butter to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to work the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

          - Gradually stir in the buttermilk until just combined. Do not overmix.

            - Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Pat it into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick. Cut into a circle or desired shape that fits your pizza stone or baking sheet.

              Prepare the Sausage Gravy:

                - In a skillet over medium heat, add the breakfast sausage. Cook until browned and crumbled, about 5-7 minutes.

                  - Once the sausage is cooked, sprinkle the 1/4 cup flour over the sausage and stir to coat. Cook for another minute to eliminate the raw flour taste.

                    - Gradually whisk in 2 cups milk, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.

                      - Allow the gravy to thicken while cooking for about 5-8 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Remove from heat.

                        Assemble the Pizza:

                          - Roll out or press the biscuit dough onto a pizza stone or baking sheet. Make sure to create a slight crust around the edges.

                            - Pour the sausage gravy evenly over the biscuit crust, leaving a little room at the edges.

                              - Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese on top of the gravy.

                                Bake:

                                  - Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

                                    - While the pizza is baking, fry or poach the two eggs to your desired doneness.

                                      Finish and Serve:

                                        - Once the pizza is done, remove it from the oven. Top with the fried or poached eggs in the center.

                                          - Garnish with freshly chopped parsley or chives for a pop of color and flavor.

                                            - Slice and serve warm, enjoying the delicious combination of biscuits, gravy, and cheesy goodness!
