Ingredients

1 cup fresh blackberries

1 oz fresh lime juice (about 1 lime)

2 oz vodka

4 oz ginger beer

4 oz chilled champagne

Lime wedges, for garnish

Fresh mint leaves, for garnish

Ice cubes

Optional: Sweetener (like simple syrup or honey) for added sweetness

Instructions

Prepare the Blackberries: In a cocktail shaker, add the fresh blackberries and muddle them gently with the back of a spoon or a muddler until they are well crushed and release their juices.

Mix Ingredients: To the muddled blackberries, add the fresh lime juice and vodka. If you like your drink a bit sweeter, add a drizzle of simple syrup or honey at this stage. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds to combine all the flavors and chill the mixture.

Strain: Using a fine mesh strainer or cocktail strainer, pour the blackberry-vodka mixture into a copper mule cup or a glass filled with ice. This will help separate the seeds and any pulp from the drink.

Add Ginger Beer: Slowly pour the ginger beer over the blackberry mixture, allowing for a nice fizz. Stir gently to combine.

Finish with Champagne: Carefully top the drink with the chilled champagne. Give it one last gentle stir to incorporate the bubbles without losing the fizz.

Garnish: Add a few whole blackberries and a lime wedge for garnish, and finish with a sprig of fresh mint for an aromatic touch.

Serve and Enjoy: Serve immediately and enjoy this refreshing twist on a classic mule!
