Ingredients

1 lb fresh strawberries, washed and dried

8 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips (or dark chocolate for a richer flavor)

2 tbsp coconut oil (or shortening for a shiny finish)

1/4 cup chopped nuts (almonds, pistachios, or hazelnuts, optional)

Sea salt flakes (for garnish, optional)

Sprinkles or edible glitter (for decoration, optional)

Instructions

Prep the Strawberries: Ensure the strawberries are thoroughly washed and completely dried. Any moisture can prevent the chocolate from adhering properly.

Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth. Be careful not to overheat!

Dip the Strawberries: Hold each strawberry by the green tops and dip them into the melted chocolate, ensuring they’re coated about halfway up. Allow the excess chocolate to drip off.

Add Crunch (Optional): If desired, roll the chocolate-covered strawberry in the chopped nuts or sprinkle some on top while the chocolate is still wet.

Garnish: For an extra touch, sprinkle a tiny pinch of sea salt flakes or add colorful sprinkles/edible glitter before the chocolate hardens.

Set the Chocolate: Place the dipped strawberries on a parchment-lined baking tray. Once all strawberries are dipped, refrigerate them for about 15-30 minutes, or until the chocolate is fully set.

Serve: Once set, carefully transfer the strawberries to a serving platter. Enjoy immediately or store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
