Ingredients

1 can (12.4 oz) refrigerated cinnamon rolls (with icing)

4 large eggs

1/4 cup milk (whole or 2%)

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons butter

Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Maple syrup (for serving)

Fresh fruit (optional, for topping)

Instructions

Prepare the Cinnamon Rolls: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish. Open the can of cinnamon rolls and separate them. Cut each roll into quarters and set aside.

Make the French Toast Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt until fully combined.

Combine: Add the quartered cinnamon rolls into the egg mixture, gently folding to coat each piece with the mixture. Allow to soak for about 5 minutes.

Cook the French Toast: In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Once the butter is melted and bubbling, carefully pour half of the cinnamon roll mixture into the skillet, spreading it out to make an even layer. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until the bottom is golden brown.

Flip: Carefully flip the mixture using a spatula, breaking apart any that may be stuck together, and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes on the other side until evenly golden and cooked through.

Repeat: Remove the cooked cinnamon roll French toast from the skillet and keep warm on a plate or in the oven. Add the remaining tablespoon of butter to the skillet and repeat the cooking process with the second half of the mixture.

Serve: Once all the French toast is cooked, drizzle the included icing from the cinnamon rolls over the warm French toast. Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm with maple syrup and your choice of fresh fruit.
