Creamy Chicken and Broccoli Pasta Bake

2 cups rotini or penne pasta

2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced

2 cups fresh broccoli florets

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon paprika

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon olive oil

½ cup breadcrumbs

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

      Blanch the Broccoli: While the pasta is cooking, bring a small pot of water to a boil. Add the broccoli florets and blanch for 2-3 minutes until bright green and slightly tender. Drain and set aside.

        Prepare the Cream Sauce: In a medium saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the heavy cream, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir frequently and bring to a gentle simmer. Let it cook for 3-4 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

          Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, shredded chicken, blanched broccoli, half of the cheddar cheese, half of the Parmesan cheese, and the cream sauce. Mix until all ingredients are coated evenly.

            Assemble the Bake: Transfer the pasta mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Spread it out evenly, then sprinkle the remaining cheddar and Parmesan cheese on top.

              Add Breadcrumbs for Crunch: If desired, sprinkle breadcrumbs over the cheese for a crispy topping.

                Bake: Place in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.

                  Garnish and Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
