Creamy Chicken and Broccoli Skillet Dinner

1 pound boneless skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces

2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)

1 tablespoon olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup low-sodium chicken broth

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Sear the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes, or until browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

    Sauté the Garlic: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, or until fragrant. Be careful not to burn it.

      Add Broccoli: Stir in the broccoli florets and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, until crisp-tender.

        Make the Creamy Sauce: Pour in the chicken broth and bring it to a simmer. Then, stir in the heavy cream, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes (if using). Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
