8 oz (about 2 cups) penne pasta

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Add the broccoli florets in the last 3 minutes of cooking. Drain and set aside.

    Sauté the Chicken: In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the chicken pieces and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

      Sauté Garlic: In the same skillet, add a little more olive oil if needed. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant but not browned.

        Make the Sauce: Pour in the chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the skillet to release any flavorful bits. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low. Add the heavy cream and stir well to combine.

          Combine Ingredients: Gradually stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is creamy. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet along with the pasta and broccoli. Toss everything together until well coated in the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
