Ingredients

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup sour cream

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup diced jalapeños (fresh or pickled, seeds removed for less heat)

1/4 cup chopped green onions (plus extra for garnish)

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

1/2 tsp cumin

Salt and pepper to taste

Tortilla chips or pita chips for serving

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). This will ensure a perfectly baked dip.

Mix the Base: In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream. Use a hand mixer or a spatula to blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

Add the Cheeses: Stir in the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses until well combined, creating a rich, cheesy base.

Incorporate Flavor: Add the diced jalapeños, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper to the mixture. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.

Transfer to Baking Dish: Pour the dip mixture into a 9-inch pie dish or an equivalent-sized oven-safe baking dish. Use a spatula to spread it evenly.

Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the dip is bubbly and golden brown on top.

Garnish and Serve: Once baked, remove the dip from the oven and garnish with additional chopped green onions. Serve hot with tortilla chips or pita chips for dipping.
