Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup warm water (110°F)

2 tablespoons sugar

1 tablespoon instant yeast

1 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 tablespoon melted butter (for brushing)

Instructions

Activate the Yeast: In a small bowl, combine the warm water and sugar. Stir gently and sprinkle the instant yeast over the top. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes, until frothy.

Prepare the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Create a well in the center and add the frothy yeast mixture, olive oil, minced garlic, chopped parsley, oregano, and thyme.

Mix the Ingredients: Using a wooden spoon or dough hook attachment if using a stand mixer, mix until the dough comes together. If the dough is sticky, gradually add a little more flour until the dough is smooth and elastic.

Knead the Dough: Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes, or until it is smooth and elastic. Alternatively, knead it in the stand mixer on medium speed for about 5 minutes.

First Rise: Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.

Shape the Rolls: Once the dough has risen, punch it down to release air. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces and shape each piece into a ball. Place the rolls in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, leaving a little space between each one.

Second Rise: Cover the rolls with the kitchen towel again and let them rise for another 30 minutes, until they puff up.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Bake: Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown on top.

Brush with Butter: Remove the rolls from the oven and brush them with melted butter while they are still warm for extra flavor.

Serve Warm: Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them warm alongside your favorite dishes!
