Ingredients

For the Chicken:

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs

1 cup buttermilk

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 teaspoon baking powder

Oil for frying

For the Hot Honey Sauce:

½ cup honey

1 tablespoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Pinch of salt

For the Biscuits:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

½ teaspoon salt

½ cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed

¾ cup milk

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine the buttermilk, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken thighs, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for best results).

Prepare the Hot Honey Sauce: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the honey, red pepper flakes, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt. Stir until heated through, then set aside to cool slightly.

Make the Biscuits: Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the cold, cubed butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Gradually add the milk, stirring until just combined.

Shape the Biscuits: Turn the dough onto a floured surface. Gently knead a few times to bring it together, then pat it into a rectangle about 1-inch thick. Cut out biscuits using a round cutter and place them on a baking sheet.

Bake the Biscuits: Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.

Fry the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. In a shallow dish, mix the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and pepper. Dredge the marinated chicken thighs in the flour mixture. Fry the chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until cooked through and crispy. Drain on paper towels.

Assemble the Biscuits: Split each biscuit in half, place a piece of fried chicken in between, and drizzle generously with hot honey sauce.

Serve: Enjoy your Easy Hot Honey Chicken Biscuits warm, garnished with extra honey and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes if desired.
