Ingredients

  • 0.454 kg ground turkey
  • 1.0 cup breadcrumbs
  • 0.111 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.063 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2.0 cloves garlic
  • 0.063 cup fresh parsley
  • 1.0 large egg
  • 1.0 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1.0 cup cranberry sauce
  • 2.0 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1.0 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1.0 tablespoon honey
  • 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

  • Prepare the Meatball Mixture: In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, egg, salt, pepper, and thyme. Mix until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  • Shape the Meatballs: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Using your hands, form the mixture into bite-sized meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on a lined baking sheet, leaving some space between each meatball.
  • Bake the Meatballs: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the meatballs are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Prepare the Cranberry Glaze: While the meatballs are baking, in a small saucepan over medium heat, combine cranberry sauce, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, honey, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir until the sauce is well combined and heated through.
  • Glaze the Meatballs: Once the meatballs are cooked, transfer them to a large mixing bowl. Pour the cranberry glaze over the meatballs and gently toss until they are well coated.
  • Serve: Serve the glazed meatballs warm, garnished with additional chopped parsley if desired. They can be enjoyed as an appetizer, in a sub sandwich, or over a bed of rice for a complete meal.

Notes

Best served warm, can be garnished with additional parsley.
