Ingredients

4 ripe peaches, sliced

8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced

1 cup fresh basil leaves, lightly packed

2 tablespoons balsamic glaze

2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Zest of 1 lemon (optional)

1 teaspoon honey (optional, for added sweetness)

Instructions

Prep the Ingredients: Start by washing the peaches thoroughly. Slice them into thin wedges, and set aside. Slice the fresh mozzarella into rounds, making sure they are similar in thickness to the peach slices.

Layer the Salad: On a large serving platter, alternate layers of peach slices and mozzarella rounds. For a stunning presentation, arrange them in a circular pattern or in rows to showcase the colors.

Add Basil: Tuck fresh basil leaves in between the peach and mozzarella slices, allowing for a pop of green and aromatic flavor throughout the dish.

Season: Drizzle the extra-virgin olive oil and balsamic glaze over the entire salad. Sprinkle with salt and freshly cracked black pepper, adjusting to your taste.

Optional Zest and Honey: For an elevated touch, sprinkle lemon zest over the salad to add brightness, and drizzle honey if you prefer a sweeter note.

Serve: Allow the salad to rest for a few minutes to let the flavors meld together before serving. Enjoy chilled as an appetizer or a light entrée!
