Ingredients

2 ripe bananas, mashed

1 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup almond flour (or any nut flour)

1/4 cup almond butter (or peanut butter)

1/4 cup honey or maple syrup

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)

1/4 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans, optional)

1/4 cup shredded coconut (optional)

Instructions

Prepare Your Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, almond butter, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract. Stir well until everything is well blended and smooth.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix together the rolled oats, almond flour, cinnamon, and salt.

Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet mixture, stirring until fully incorporated. If desired, fold in the chocolate chips, chopped nuts, and shredded coconut for added texture and taste.

Form Bites: Using your hands, scoop out about a tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Place each ball on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Freeze the Bites: Once all the mixture is rolled into balls, place the baking sheet in the freezer for about 1-2 hours or until the energy bites are firm.

Store for Later: After freezing, transfer the energy bites into an airtight container or a resealable bag for easy storage. They can be kept in the freezer for up to 3 months.

Enjoy Anytime: Grab a couple of these frozen banana bread energy bites as a quick snack or pre-workout boost whenever you need an energy kick!
