Ingredients

1 lb (450g) ground beef

2 cups fresh broccoli florets

1 cup cooked white rice (or quinoa for a healthier option)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup cream of mushroom soup (or homemade cream sauce)

1/2 cup beef broth

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1/2 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (for topping)

2 tbsp olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Sauté the Beef: In a large, oven-safe skillet over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Once hot, add the diced onion and sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute until fragrant.

Cook the Ground Beef: Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon, approximately 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat if necessary.

Add Broccoli and Sauce: Once the beef is browned, stir in the broccoli florets, cooked rice, cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until everything is coated with the sauce.

Add Cheese: Sprinkle 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the mixture and stir to combine.

Top with Breadcrumbs: Evenly spread the remaining cheese over the top of the mixture, then sprinkle the breadcrumbs over the cheese for a crunchy topping.

Bake: Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the broccoli is tender.

Garnish and Serve: Remove the skillet from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
