Ingredients

1 cup (227g) unsalted butter, melted

2 cups (400g) granulated sugar

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

4 large eggs

1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour

1 cup (85g) unsweetened cocoa powder

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon baking powder

1 cup (150g) chocolate chips (optional)

12 Oreo cookies, roughly chopped

Additional Oreos for topping (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.

Mix the Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Whisk together until well combined and smooth. Add in the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, whisking until fully incorporated.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Ensure there are no lumps for a smooth brownie texture.

Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures: Gradually add the dry flour mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring gently with a spatula or wooden spoon until no dry streaks remain. Be careful not to overmix to achieve fudgy brownies.

Add Chocolates and Oreos: Fold in the chocolate chips (if using) and the chopped Oreo cookies, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Pour & Spread: Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan. Spread it evenly with a spatula, smoothing out the top. Press some additional Oreo cookies on top for a decorative touch.

Bake: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).

Cool & Serve: Allow the brownies to cool in the pan on a wire rack for at least 15 minutes. Use the parchment overhang to lift them out of the pan. Cut into squares and serve warm for a melty treat or at room temperature.

Enjoy your delicious, gooey Oreo brownies paired with a scoop of ice cream or a drizzle of chocolate sauce!
