Ingredients

1 can (29 oz) sliced peaches in syrup (or fresh peaches, peeled and sliced, about 4 cups)

1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted (1 stick)

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the Pan: Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with some butter or cooking spray to prevent sticking.

Layer the Peaches: Pour the canned peaches (with syrup) evenly into the bottom of the greased baking dish. If using fresh peaches, scatter the sliced peaches evenly.

Sprinkle the Cake Mix: Evenly sprinkle the entire box of yellow cake mix over the peaches. Do not stir; it should be a dry layer over the peaches.

Add Cinnamon and Sugar: In a bowl, mix ground cinnamon and brown sugar together. Sprinkle this mixture over the cake mix layer for added flavor.

Drizzle Butter: Pour the melted butter evenly over the cake mix. Ensure you cover as much of the mix as possible for a deliciously buttery top.

Top with Pecans (Optional): If you like a bit of crunch, sprinkle the chopped pecans on top of the melted butter.

Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 45-55 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.

Cool and Serve: Let the cobbler cool for about 10 minutes before serving. This dessert is best enjoyed warm, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream on top.
