Ingredients

4 cups Reese’s Puffs cereal

1 cup creamy peanut butter (or crunchy for added texture)

1/2 cup honey or maple syrup

1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (plus extra for topping)

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Parchment paper (for lining the pan)

Instructions

Prepare the Pan: Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easier removal later. Lightly grease the parchment with cooking spray or oil.

Melt the Mixture: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the creamy peanut butter and honey (or maple syrup). Stir continuously until the mixture is smooth and well combined, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.

Add Flavor: Stir in the salt and vanilla extract, mixing well to incorporate.

Combine with Cereal: In a large mixing bowl, pour the Reese’s Puffs cereal. Drizzle the warm peanut butter mixture over the cereal. Use a spatula or wooden spoon to gently fold the mixture until all the cereal is evenly coated.

Mix in Chocolate Chips: Once the cereal is thoroughly coated, fold in the mini chocolate chips. If you like, you can reserve some to sprinkle on top.

Transfer to Pan: Pour the cereal mixture into the prepared baking pan. Using the back of a spatula or your hands (dampened to prevent sticking), press the mixture firmly and evenly into the pan.

Chill: If you reserved chocolate chips, sprinkle them on top and gently press them into the mixture. Cover the pan with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to set.

Cut and Serve: After chilling, lift the bars out of the pan using the parchment paper. Cut into squares or rectangles using a sharp knife. Enjoy your tasty treat!
