Ingredients

4 lbs pork shoulder (also known as pork butt)

1 tablespoon smoked paprika

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 tablespoon brown sugar

2 teaspoons salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

1 cup apple cider vinegar

1 cup barbecue sauce (homemade or store-bought)

1 cup chicken broth

1 large onion, sliced

12 slider buns

Coleslaw (for topping, optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Pork: Start by trimming any excess fat from the pork shoulder. In a small bowl, mix together the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Rub this spice mixture all over the pork shoulder, ensuring it's well covered.

Layer the Ingredients: Place the sliced onions at the bottom of your slow cooker to create a bed for the pork. Then, place the seasoned pork shoulder on top of the onions.

Add Liquids: In a separate bowl, combine the apple cider vinegar, barbecue sauce, and chicken broth. Pour this mixture over the pork shoulder in the slow cooker.

Slow Cook: Cover and cook on low for about 8-10 hours or high for 4-6 hours, until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.

Shred the Pork: Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and set it on a cutting board. Using two forks, shred the pork into bite-sized pieces. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker to mix with the juices.

Assemble the Sliders: Toast the slider buns lightly for extra texture. Spoon a generous amount of pulled pork onto the bottom half of each slider bun. Top with coleslaw if desired, then add the top half of the bun.

Serve: Enjoy your Smoky Bliss Pulled Pork Sliders warm, accompanied by extra barbecue sauce on the side for dipping.
