Ingredients

2 oz fresh pineapple juice

1 oz lime juice (freshly squeezed)

1.5 oz silver tequila

0.5 oz orange liqueur (like Cointreau or Triple Sec)

2 slices of serrano pepper (adjust for spice preference)

1/2 oz agave syrup (optional, to taste)

Sea salt (for rimming the glass)

Pineapple wedge and serrano slice (for garnish)

Ice cubes

Instructions

Prepare the Glass: Start by rimming your cocktail glass with lime juice and then dipping it into sea salt to create a salted rim. Set the glass aside.

Muddle the Serrano: In a cocktail shaker, add the serrano pepper slices. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to press and release the oils in the pepper, enhancing the spiciness of your drink.

Mix the Cocktail: Add the pineapple juice, lime juice, silver tequila, orange liqueur, and agave syrup (if using) to the shaker with the muddled serrano. Fill the shaker with ice.

Shake Well: Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well mixed and chilled.

Strain and Serve: Fill your prepared cocktail glass with fresh ice and strain the cocktail mixture into the glass, ensuring that any pepper bits stay in the shaker.

Garnish: Finish your margarita by garnishing it with a wedge of fresh pineapple and an additional slice of serrano pepper on the rim, if desired.

Enjoy: Sip your Spicy Serrano Pineapple Margarita and relish the perfect fusion of sweet, spicy, and citrus flavors!
