Ingredients

For the Dough:

4 cups all-purpose flour

1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast

½ cup warm milk (about 110°F)

¼ cup granulated sugar

½ tsp salt

1 large egg

¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

½ cup plain yogurt

For the Filling:

1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped

1 cup cream cheese, softened

½ cup powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

½ tsp lemon juice

¼ cup brown sugar

1 tsp ground cinnamon

For Cream Cheese Frosting:

4 oz cream cheese, softened

¼ cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 tbsp milk (or as needed for consistency)

Instructions

Prepare the Dough: In a small bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let it rest for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes foamy.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.

Combine Ingredients: Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and add the yeast mixture, melted butter, egg, and yogurt. Mix until a dough forms.

Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm environment for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Prepare the Filling: In another mixing bowl, combine chopped strawberries, softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice. Mix until well combined and set aside.

Roll the Dough: Once the dough has risen, punch it down and turn it out onto a floured surface. Roll it into a rectangle, about 18x12 inches.

Spread the Filling: Spread the strawberry cheesecake mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and ground cinnamon. Sprinkle this evenly over the cream cheese filling.

Roll Up the Dough: Starting from one long side, tightly roll the dough into a log. Cut the roll into 12 equal pieces.

Second Rise: Place the rolls in a greased 9x13 baking dish. Cover and let them rise for an additional 30 minutes.

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Bake the Rolls: Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

Make the Frosting: While the rolls bake, prepare the cream cheese frosting. In a bowl, beat softened cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until desired consistency is reached.

Frost and Serve: Once the rolls are done, drizzle with the cream cheese frosting while they are still warm. Serve immediately and enjoy the delicious fusion of flavors!
