Ingredients

2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

1 jalapeño, sliced (seeds removed for less heat)

½ cup fresh lime juice (about 4-5 limes)

1 cup tequila (preferably silver)

½ cup triple sec (or orange liqueur)

¼ cup agave syrup or honey (adjust to taste)

Ice cubes

Lime wedges and coarse salt for rimming glasses (optional)

Fresh strawberries and jalapeño slices for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Glasses: If desired, rim your glass with lime juice and dip it into coarse salt to coat the rim. Set aside.

Make the Strawberry Jalapeño Purée: In a blender, combine the fresh strawberries and sliced jalapeño. Blend until smooth. (Adjust the amount of jalapeño based on your spice preference.)

Strain the Mixture: Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl, using a spatula to press out as much juice as possible. Discard the solids.

Mix the Margarita: In a cocktail shaker, combine the strawberry-jalapeño purée, fresh lime juice, tequila, triple sec, and agave syrup. Fill the shaker with ice.

Shake It Up: Cover the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds to chill and combine all the ingredients well.

Serve: Fill the prepared glasses with ice and strain the margarita mixture over the ice in each glass.

Garnish: Top each drink with a fresh strawberry and a jalapeño slice for an eye-catching presentation. If desired, add a lime wedge for an extra zesty touch.

Enjoy: Serve immediately and sip slowly to savor the perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and tangy flavors.
